Brittany's Recovery Fund

Donation protected

As most of you know by now, my fiancée was recently involved in a head on collision with a drunk driver who was driving with a suspended license on Sunday, June 3. She had just finished nannying and was on her way home, when she was met by the drunk driver who was in her lane as she reached the top of a hill. Due to the force of the impact, her car was flipped upside down causing her to be pinned inside. She was rushed to Shock Trauma where it was discovered that she suffered a broken right femur which required surgery (a titanium rod placed within the bone) and a blood transfusion. Aside from that, she endured a broken toe on her right foot, pain in her right wrist and hand and various cuts and bruises. She was also unlucky enough to have contracted severe poison ivy while being pulled from her car as well. After 9 days spent in the hospital, we are lucky enough to currently have her recovering at her grandmother's condo where she doesn't have the obstacle of stairs.

Due to this tragic accident, she currently has limited mobility of her right leg and is only granted some mobility with the help of a walker or wheel chair. She is also unable to work and make an income during this time, as being a Preschool Teacher isn't an achievable job to have during the recovery period of this kind of injury. This detail in itself has been hard on Brittany, as she loves to keep busy and she truly loves her job of working with children.

As we currently fight for justice on this matter, Brittany's everyday bills and various medical bills are piling up and additional medical bills will be coming as she continues to have physical therapy and various follow-up appointments. Although Brittany has medical and car insurance, the money received from those will only stretch so far.

Any donations made are greatly appreciated to help her during this tragic time. Any and all funds raised will go directly towards paying medical bills and current personal bills Brittany may be unable to pay during this time due to being out of work. We also ask if you could share this fundraising campaign to help spread the word. Many of you know Brittany personally and know this couldn't have happened to a sweeter person. She loves being able to light up a room, but her light has currently dimmed. Please, consider helping in any way you can to help her get back on her feet.

Thank you all for your love and support. It's greatly appreciated.
